Macy's Stars of Dance - Design a Dance
The pros that were selected for this Design a Dance competition are Julianne Hough, Lacey Schwimmer, Derek Hough and Mark Ballas. They dance a rousing number to "It Don't Mean a Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing." Some cool choreography, for sure.
Now back to the professional competition.
Mayo Alanen and Kym Johnson - Cha cha cha
The cha cha might be my least favorite of the Latin styles, but I really like this choreography. I especially like when Mayo spins Kym around, like, hundreds of times. They do a great job, but I think Anna is going to win.
Carrie Ann says that Mayo is a wonderful dancer, but she is concerned that Mayo isn't as versatile as he needs to be if he wants to be on
Dancing with the Stars. Len says that Mayo's tango was better than this cha cha. Bruno also says that he has be very cognizant of the risks that he takes. For example, this cha cha had a disco flavor, which Bruno doesn't really like.
Anna Demidova and Maksim Chmerkovskiy - Samba
This routine starts and ends with Anna doing flirty little solos. She really did leave Maks in the corner. I think this routine was more energetic than Mayo's.
Len says, "If you're not the one back this fall, then I'll show me bum in the supermarket." I don't even know if this is a British-ism; it's just weird. Both Bruno and Carrie Ann also agree that Anna is far superior than Mayo.
