People magazine has just named former
Dancing with the Stars contestant
Mario Lopez the hottest bachelor of 2008. The thing is,
Bret Michaels of
Rock of Love is also on the list, so I'm not putting too much weight in this. After all, isn't Bret ostensibly with that
Ambre Lake chick now? Is he really a bachelor, or does the word just mean "unmarried"? Either way, Mario Lopez might have a rocking set of abs, but ladies best stay away. Why? Because he is a slimer two-timer.
Karina Smirnoff made an appearance on the E! talk show
Chelsea Lately on Monday to talk to
Chelsea Handler about how her long-time, live-in boyfriend and erstwhile
Dancing with the Stars ballroom partner Mario Lopez, who has apparently been cheating on her for over a year with a Hooters waitress. Classy, no?
The pair called it quits earlier this month, but the interview with Handler was the first time Karina Smirnoff spoke about her situation in public. She had only found out a few days before the news about the Hooters waitress hit the tabloids, but has been dealing with it.
Karina Smirnoff told Handler that although she was upset to hear the news, "I am okay now. I was a little bit upset earlier. But there is no easy way to break up, and, especially when you're in the public eye, it's that much harder. But, you know, it could be worse. It could be Divine Brown [the prostitute caught with Hugh Grant]. But, again, it's not that bad."
Here is a clip of the interview.
Handler also inquired about whether Karina has moved on to E! reporter Michael Yo, whose name has been linked with Karina's in the past. The
Dancing with the Stars professional replied that "he has been consoling [her] through all of this," but they are just "great friends."
