On Tuesday of this week,
Julianne Hough of
Dancing with the Stars went under the knife to have her appendix removed, but she'll be back on her feet pretty soon. She is expected to be out of the dance part of the competition for at least two weeks, but she's still planning on showcasing her other career – as a country music singer – during the
Dancing with the Stars results show on November 11.
Julianne Hough has successfully completely surgery in Los Angeles and is resting comfortably at home with her family. She was recently diagnosed with endometriosis, which can cause cysts to form on her ovaries. Removing her appendix was a preventive measure because the cysts can cause the appendix to become infected later on.
On November 11, Julianne Hough will be performing her single “My Hallelujah Song” from her self-titled debut album. You can listen to this song as well as others on her website,
JulianneHough.com. I've listened to a few of her tracks from her album and they are all pretty good. They are all the kind of songs that tell good stories and are easy to sing along to. She also just released her second album, entitled
Sounds of the Season – The Julianne Hough Holiday Collection, on October 14.
“I just feel like everybody needs a hallelujah song,” Julianne says of the song she will be performing. “No matter what you're doing in life---whether you are working at your dad's company, playing soccer or being a little ballerina---that's your hallelujah song. It's when you feel like you're right where you're supposed to be and I'm happy right where I am.”
Golly, is there anything Julianne Hough can't do? She's got an amazing voice, she is a world renown ballroom dancer with two
Dancing with the Stars mirror ball trophies to her name. She is beloved by everyone, and plus, she absolutely gorgeous, to boot. I don't normally care for many of the live musical acts that are featured on
Dancing with the Stars. I mean, I can certainly live without ever seeing Jessica Simpson or the Pussycat Dolls ever again. But I think that Julianne will do a great job when she performs on the show.
