Amid reports that she was considering joining next season of
Dancing with the Stars, Jennifer Aniston has made it clear that she won't appear on the popular reality show,
according to The National Ledger. It's unclear whether Aniston actually considered an offer, or if there ever was any offer at all.
Reggie Miller, the all-time NBA leader in Career 3-Pointers Made, confirmed that he was offered a spot on
Dancing with the Stars, but declined. Miller, now an NBA analyst for TNT, discussed the offer during the TNT studio show last night. His main reason for declining the spot seemed to be the schedule of it, but he also said that Emmitt Smith, last season's victor, "...ruined it for all athletes because he was so good."
I suppose this would be the right time for
Dancing with the Stars to try and go after those A-Listers. They had their best rated season ever, and the show became a legitimate phenomenon. But, are there really any big stars who would be willing to compete on a ballroom dancing show, opposite the likes of Jerry Springer and Kelly Monaco? I doubt it.
Although, with the collective ego in Hollywood, there's probably some big names who, believing they have a hidden dancing talent, are just waiting and hoping for the
Dancing with the Stars producers to call them up. The producers have to cast a wide net anyway, especially with the kind of diversity they want for the show. As far as I know, no casting information for the upcoming
Dancing with the Stars season has yet been finalized. When it does, we'll be on it.
