Monday's episode of Dancing with the Stars is the show's 200th, and we can all rest assured that the event will receive the full attention it deserves. With only six dancers remaining in the competition and two hours of show to fill, the anniversary may even receive more attention than it deserves. But that's OK.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
The occasion does give DWTS
' producers a chance to mix up the format again. This time, there will be two teams of dancers. The teams, each composed of three dancing pairs, will combine their scores over the course of the night. The dancers on the team with the higher cumulative score will all be safe from elimination during week 7. Since this means that only three pairs will be in any danger during The Results Show
on Tuesday, we may be looking at yet another upset.
Show representatives announced the two teams, along with their respective celebrity captains, after week 6's Results Show
. Kristi Yamaguchi, the season 6 winner of DTWS
will head a team composed of Bristol Palin, Rick Fox and Kyle Massey. Meanwhile, Apolo Anton Ohno, season 4's winner, will attempt to lead Jennifer Grey, Brandy and Kurt Warner to victory.
In addition to the individual dances, each team will perform a group dance together. Rick Fox hinted, in an interview with Zap2It
that his team will recreate Yamaguchi's "Michael Jackson" cha-cha on Monday (during the season 6 finale, Kristi Yamaguchi and Mark Ballas danced a freestyle performance to Jackson's "Day and Night").
No word yet on Ohno's team and their group choreography, but an update of one of the speed skater's winning dances seems likely.
Kristi Yamaguchi and Apolo Ohno will not be the only returning celebrities to grace the Dancing with the Stars
taping this week. Other celebrities will return as guest judges -- Melanie Brown from season and Helio Castroneves from season 5 are confirmed.
Could the unusual format of week 7 lead to another upset elimination on Tuesday? Will the guest judges give fair marks? Does the inclusion of skating celebrities mean anything for this week's planned announcements about Skating with the Stars
We'll just have to wait and see.(Image courtesy of ABC)
