It's down to just three teams left on Dancing with the Stars now: Brooke Burke and Derek Hough, Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer, and Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson. We recently asked all of you fans out there to weigh in with your opinion on which couple you want to see become the next champions of Dancing with the Stars. You voted and I've got the results right here.

But before I get to that, I just wanted to remind you that tonight is the final performance show of the season. Beginning at 8pm, the final three will have one last opportunity to impress viewers at home, including another Samba Smackdown. Then, tomorrow night, of course, is the two-hour season finale beginning at 9pm in which one team will be crowned the winner. As in years past, previously eliminated contestants from the season to take the stage one more time.

And now, without further ado, the results of our BuddyTV Showdown “Who Do You Want to Win Dancing with the Stars” is Lance Bass, with 137 votes and 43 percent of the total votes cast. Warren Sapp came in second place with 97 votes and 30 percent of the total votes. Finally, in last place, Brooke Burke garnered just 86 votes, 27 percent of the total.





If the viewers have any say in anything – and you know their voice makes up half of the decision – then Lance Bass and newcomer Lacey Schwimmer will be victorious tomorrow night.

But actually, it's not that simple. In the same post in which we presented the showdown, we put in a poll with the question: “Who should win?” In this instance, Brooke Burke came out ahead by a landslide, taking fully 50 percent of all votes cast. Lance came in second with 39 percent, and Warren got a mere 11 percent.





I think this just goes to show you that our unscientific methods of gathering public opinion data are in no danger of becoming scientific any time soon. Also, this tells us that public opinion fluctuates wildly for Dancing with the Stars. The competition is still wide open, and we'll just have to wait and see what transpires.
