Dancing with the Stars will be celebrating its 10th anniversary by reuniting some of your favorite celebrity contestants from the past decade with the dance professionals from the ABC reality competition. Unfortunately, one fan favorite pro will not be able to make it.

Derek Hough, who was supposed to perform with Maria Menounos and some of his former DWTS partners for the 10th anniversary event, injured his foot while rehearsing for the special reunion on Monday following the April 20 performance show.

“Derek Hough suffered injuries to his right foot and left ankle,” his rep told FOX411. “He has been diagnosed with a broken toe on his right foot and sprains to his left ankle on both the inside and outside aspects and a bone bruise on the same ankle.”

DWTS pro Mark Ballas posted a photo on his Facebook page with the caption: “Long night in the ER with Derek Hough nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt especially your brother.  But he had me BC Jean & Corky Ballas there by his side.”

Due to his injuries, Hough will not able to attend the New York Spring Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall in New York City this week, as well as the DWTS anniversary event (taped Tuesday), as first reported by Us Weekly

According to his rep, it “remains unclear at this time if Derek will be able to perform on the Monday April 27 episode of Dancing with the Stars.” However, the five-time champion is determined to bounce back better than ever.

“Performing 10 shows a week at Radio City while rehearsing with Nastia [Lukin] for DWTS, I’ve never felt more healthy, strong and fit. But then a fluke accident happened that involved a light and some stairs. Can’t believe it, wish I had a cooler story to tell,” Hough captioned a photo from his hospital bed on Wednesday. “All that dancing, flipping, jumping and the thing that stops me in my tracks is something as simple as a light and some stairs. I’m doing everything I possibly can to have a quick recovery and I’m determined to come back stronger than ever. I appreciate all the love and support, you guys are the best. And thank you to Mark, BC Jean and Corky Ballas for staying with me at the hospital until 2am. Love you. This is new territory for me, I’m usually able to work through injury but this one has literally floored me. But like I said before I’m determined to come back all guns blazing…soon!!! #setbackisasetupforacomeback.”
