Last October, Sara Evans, country singer and former cast member of the reality dance show Dancing with the Stars season 3, filed for divorce from husband Craig Schelske. The divorce is nearly completed, having been finalized and just awaiting a judge’s signature in Tennessee.

Evans made controversy upon her decision to withdrawal from Dancing with Stars, leaving her dance partner Toni Dovolani. She extracted herself from the show to file for divorce, and be with her children.

The decision of Evans to end the marriage was due to Schelske’s adulterous behavior and his fixation on pornography, although he denied her arguments and accused her of having an affair.

The divorce papers also included the parenting responsibilities for the couple’s three children, Avery, 7, Olivia, 4, and Elizabeth, 2, People magazine reported. Moreover the legal documents issued by the Tennessee’s Chancery Court states, "The mother and father will behave with each other and each child so as to provide a loving, stable, consistent, and nurturing relationship with the child even though they are divorced. They will not speak badly of each other or the members of the family of the other parent. They will encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families."

Ultimately, Evan’s home will be the primary residence of the children. And if the judge permits, she also gets to decide on educational, non-emergency health care, religious upbringing and other activities for the children.
