Dancing with the Stars returns this Monday for a seventh season. That's only three days away, and we'll be treated to three consecutive nights of
Dancing with the Stars – two performances shows on Monday and Tuesday, followed by the season's first results show on W.dnesday night.
Earlier this week, I brought you my thoughts on which five teams would end up at the bottom and which five would be relegated to the middle of the pack. And without further ado, here are my picks for the top three teams.
3. Ted McGinley and Inna Brayer
Inna is a newcomer to
Dancing with the Stars but after seeing her perform on PBS'
America's Ballroom Challenge in 2007, I believe that she'll win over the audience. She is a strong, capable dancer, and I believe she has a very promising student in the jumper of sharks, Ted McGinley.
2. Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani
Susan Lucci is the Leading Lady of Daytime Television. She has an enormous fan base from
All My Children that will mobilize to keep her around. (In season 5, I believe these same
AMC fans were responsible for keeping
Cameron Mathison around long after he should have been eliminated.) Plus, although she is an older lady (and why does Tony always seem to get the “mature” partners?), I think we should not underestimate her potential.
1. Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer
I'm predicting that the athletes won't make it to the top three, but I do think that this year, we'll see another ex-boy band member crowned the winner. Lance and Lacey have a lot going for them, and I think they will show their dominance early on. Lance has had a ton of experience learning choreography from his days with *NSYNC. During the boy band's heyday, Lance was often overshadowed by the greater fame of his singing peers, but now, it is his turn to shine. And Lacey has proven on
So You Think You Can Dance that she is a fearsome competitor. Once she proves to all the doubters out there that she deserves a spot as a professional on
Dancing with the Stars, audiences will get behind this couple and show their support through votes. Lance and Lacey, for the win!
