Fans of Dancing With the Stars know that the 10th season will end on Tuesday when the latest mirror-ball trophy is awarded. But you may want to know what the dancers and celebs are working on away from the dance floor.
Pamela Anderson
We can watch for Pamela Anderson in a film that just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. It's a surfing documentary called Hollywood Don't Surf! She also has a movie in post-production called Hollywood & Wine.
Shannen Doherty
Shannen Doherty was the first to be sent home this season, but you'll be able to see her in several new projects. She's in a new web series called
The Webventures of Justin & Alden and a movie,
Growing the Big One, in which she plays a character by the same name as the web series. She's also in a movie called
Burning Palms that just premiered at the Newport Beach International Film Festival. It's a dark comedy that weaves five characters' tales as they find their fate.
Niecy Nash, Samantha Harris, Melissa Rycroft
You can see fan favorite, Niecy Nash on the reality series
Clean House. And former
DWTS host Samantha Harris and former contestant Melissa Rycroft both appear regularly on
Entertainment Tonight.
Jerry Springer, Buzz Aldren
Two other former contestants have also been unlikely guests on
WWF Raw. If you missed Jerry Springer's appearances on the series, Here are some YouTube clips:
Buzz Aldren appears on the show soon, so watch for that. It's sure to be fun.
Kelly Osbourne
Last season's
DWTS darling, Kelly Osbourne is in a new horror movie that's expected to be released in 2011. It's called
Devour and also stars VH1 star Brooke Hogan. That sounds like a real "must see" flick! ;-)
Marie Osmond, Donny Osmond, Nicole Scherzinger
Three
DWTS alumni can be seen performing on stage. Marie Osmond and her brother,
DWTS champion Donny Osmond have an act in Las Vegas that keeps them busy with performances almost every night. And this season's finalist Nicole Scherzinger will certainly be seen performing with the Pussycat Dolls and as a solo act.
Steve-O
Heaven help us, Steve-O is currently filming a new movie called
Jackass 3-D. Just thinking of it is distressing...
Joanna Krupa
Last season's beauty Joanna Krupa has two films we can see released later this year. The movie
Six Days in Paradise is described as, "A reformed gambler searching for his ex-wife and daughter; an amateur private-eye he hires; an assassin on a mission, and; a recruiter of mixed-martial arts fighters."
She'll also be in a film entitled
Garbage that follows the exploits of two best friends who drive garbage trucks in Hollywood. It sounds hilarious!
Cloris Leachman
But by far, the hardest working actor and former
Dancing With the Stars celebrity is Cloris Leachman. She'll be in a new sitcom in the Fall lineup called
Raising Hope. And she is in no less than
six movies that are in various stages of production:
Tony Dovolani, Cheryl Burke
But the celebrities aren't the only ones with big projects to boast about. Professional dancer Tony Dovolani has no less than five movies in various production phases:
Tony also teamed up with fellow
DWTS dance pro Cheryl Burke to choreograph portions of the
Toy Story 3 film.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy plays a dancer in a new series expected to air on HDNet very soon called
Svetlana. You can see
clips from the series on YouTube right now.
Lacey Schwimmer, Kym Johnson, Dmitry Chaplain, Louis van Amstel

One of my favorite workouts is the
Dancing With the Stars' DVD featuring
DWTS pros Lacey Schwimmer, Kym Johnson and Dmitry Chaplain. If you like to dance, you should give it a try. It's a lot of fun. :-)
Dmitry often works as a choreographer on
So You Think You Can Dance and Louis van Amstel choreographed some
SYTYCD routines last season too. They both may be featured I the upcoming season 7. Be sure to watch for them.
Julianne Hough, Derek Hough, Mark Ballas
Julianne Hough not only has
her debut country album out, but she's in two upcoming new movies. She's in the re-make of
Footloose and
Burlesque. She just seems so incredibly talented, it's amazing.
Her brother Derek Hough and fellow pro dancer Mark Ballas have their own band too. The
Ballas Hough Band will surely be performing this summer.
So if you are sad to see the end of the 10th season of
Dancing With the Stars, you can take some comfort in the fact that you can still enjoy many of your
DWTS favorites.
