Has there ever before been an episode of Dancing with the Stars in which no one got less than an 8 from the judges? It seems unlikely, especially so soon as week 3. But that's what we've got in Dancing with the Stars season 14. What does that mean for our predictions about who will go home this week?
It complicates things.
But predictions must be made. Even when they are, like this week, more like best guesses...
Most Likely to Be EliminatedMelissa Gilbert (score = 24)Melissa has had consistently low scores and is at the bottom of the overall leader-board. It doesn't help that her dances aren't particularly memorable. Will Maks as a partner be enough to save her?
Gavin DeGraw (score = 24)He had the second-lowest combined scores last week. And this week, Gavin tied at the bottom again. There was improvement (and we saw him without his hat!), but it might not be enough.
Jack Wagner (score = 24)With an early and unmemorable performance, there's a decent chance of Jack being forgotten by voters. When combined with a low-ish score, this might spell trouble.
Should Be EliminatedMelissa GilbertMelissa just isn't exciting. Her dancing is competent, but "competent" doesn't cut it in
Dancing with the Stars season 14. Gavin may be more likely to go, but Melissa is the one who most deserves elimination.
Should Be WorriedJaleel White (score = 25)For the dance itself, Jaleel would probably be safe. But there are also tabloid reports of fighting with Kym. And there was that bizarre monologue after the dance. Voters might not want Jaleel around anymore.
Sherri Shepherd (score = 24)Sherri's dancing wasn't too great -- not compared to some of the other performances of the evening anyway. And she's one of many tied for last place. On the other hand, she's fun, and people know and like her. That helps.
Roshon Fegan (score = 25)The judges liked Roshon's samba, but they weren't enthusiastic. And the Disney kid hasn't exactly climbed into voters' hearts...
Gladys Knight (score = 24)She's a legend, and the judges had rave reviews. Gladys can probably weather at least one week of scores at the bottom.
Probably Safe... For NowDonald Driver (score = 26)Donald delivered a solid and emotional performance to end the night. That alone should guarantee a return next week. Plus, Donald still needs to make up the points Len admitted he should have had.
Katherine Jenkins (score = 29)The lovely lady who managed the first 10s of
Dancing with the Stars season 14 isn't going anywhere for a long, long time.
Maria Menounos (score = 27)It was her best performance yet, and audiences will want to keep Maria around just to find out more on that maybe-kiss.
William Levy (score = 28)We saw his chest. There is no way William is going home after that.
