It seems that season 8 of Dancing with the Stars has a string of bad luck attached to it as injury has just claimed two more victims.  Steve-O, the 34-year-old Jackass prankster, is now suffering from a painful back injury, which is believed to be related to his recent salsa rehearsals. Wozniak has been dancing on a fractured foot for two weeks.

This marks the fourth and fifth injuries the show has claimed this season. Country singer Jewel was the first reported casualty after being diagnosed with a fractured tibia in both legs, followed by Gilles Marini, who has been diagnosed with tendonitis in his groin and shoulder, and Nancy O'Dell, who will need surgery on torn knee cartilage.  Jewel and O'Dell withdrew from the competition but Marini decided to stick around.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Like Marini, Steve-O has no plans to withdraw from the competition.

"We will dance Monday... He's in loads of pain," his dance partner, Lacey Schwimmer told Usmagazine.com Thursday.

Meanwhile, the prankster has also released this statement:

"A physical therapist has told me that nerves are being pinched in my back and it is in spasms because of inflammation related to torn muscles. I'm doing everything I can to let it heal; icing it, taking Advil, drinking water, visiting a chiropractor, and continuing to be worked on by the physical therapist. I'm still rehearsing every day, but walking through my salsa routine, rather than practicing the physical stunts and tricks that are incorporated into it. It is going to be a risky routine that I hope to pull off."

Although an ABC rep did not comment on Steve-O, the spokesperson also revealed that Steve Wozniak did indeed injure his foot, but plans to continue.

"He has seen a doctor and is taking precautions and resting his foot whenever he can," the spokesperson said.

Wozniak and pro Karina Smirnoff earned a 13 this week for their cha-cha, the lowest score of the night. They are scheduled to dance the quickstep on Monday night.

"If the pain gets worse than before, I'm going to do the right thing," said Wozniak, who is wearing a protective boot.

The next episode of Dancing with the Stars airs Monday, March 16 on ABC.
