In this series, we will study the 16 couples on Dancing with the Stars season 9 and predict who has the best chances for success, and who is doomed to humiliation.
Who is Melissa Joan Hart?
Melissa Joan Hart is now 33, but most people know her as the pre-teen Clarissa on the Nickelodeon series Clarissa Explains It All and as the witty and adorable Sabrina on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Hart got on the business quite early. At age 4, he was doing television commercials and appearances. Her screen credits include the film Drive Me Crazy, where she co-starred with would-be Entourage main man Adrian Grenier, and the ABC Family original movie Holiday in the Handcuffs, opposite DWTS alum Mario Lopez. Her other credits include another ABC Family original movie My Fake Fiance. The mother of two also has her own production company called Hartbreak Films.
Mark Ballas' HistoryIt is only Mark Ballas' fifth season on
Dancing with the Stars, but already he has two wins under his belt. He won first with Kristi Yamaguchi back in season 6 and with Shawn Johnson last year. Yes, both Olympic champions. On the other hand, teamed up with The Cheetah Girls' Sabrina Ryan, he finished seventh, and with reality starlet Kim Kardashian, he finished 11th.
My Prediction: Middle of the PackWhile there is no doubting Mark's skill and experience, and Melissa's showmanship, there seem to be several couples that can outlast them in the dancing arena. Melissa's work has mainly been in acting, and having started in the show business that early, it's safe to say that if she can dance, she would've made a career out of it. We do remember her shaking her stuff once or twice on Sabrina, but that was all, I'm afraid. If anything, she can be the sentimental favorite, if she ends up dancing well.
