'Dancing with the Stars' Spoilers: Freestyle Songs Revealed for the Final 3
Thursday, May 18, 2017
It's the end of Dancing with the Stars season 24 and only three more dances separate Normani Kordei, Rashad Jennings or David Ross from the Mirror Ball Trophy.
On Monday, the three couples will all perform Redemption dances with styles they've already done, followed by their Freestyles. Then the 24-hour fuhion challenge is back for Tuesday before the scores and votes from the Finals and the Semifinals are combined to determine the winner.
For the Freestyles, the songs suggest that Rashad is going for a funky good time and David will combine his love of '80s hip-hop with baseball. Normani and Val seem to be going for the emotional/inspirational Freestyle with their song choice.
Also, Normani is the only star who seems to be taking the "Redemption" dance seriously. She's doing a Quickstep, her style from week 1 which resulted in her lowest score of the season by far.
David and Rashad are chickening out a bit with the Redemption dances, both doing Viennese Waltzes. Rashad did his first one in week 2, where he topped the leaderboard with all 8s. And David's was on Most Memorable Year Night, giving him very high scores (and his regular Waltz was his highest-scored dance of the season).
Here are the dances and songs for the first night of the Dancing with the Stars season 24 finale.
Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater
Redemption Viennese Waltz: "Dark Times" by The Weekend featuring Ed Sheeran
Freestyle: "Let's Go"/"Uptown Funk" from Drumline/Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars
Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy
Redemption Quickstep: "Check It Out" by Oh the Larceny
Freestyle: "What the World Needs Now is Love" by Andra Day
