And then there were four.

With last week's elimination of Nancy Grace, only four couples remain to compete in Dancing with the Stars season 13. The semi-finals will allow us to judge J.R. Martinez, Ricki Lake, Hope Solo and Rob Kardashian on their fitness for the season 13 Mirror Ball. With more dances than ever required for tonight, the competitors will have their work cut out for them.

Keep reading to find out what we can expect during the Dancing with the Stars season 13 semi-finals.

The Dances
This week, each of the remaining dancers will have to take on three separate dances in order to survive to the finals. The couples will begin the night with each dancing an Argentine tango and will follow that with either a paso doble or a samba (whichever the competitor has not yet danced).

The third and final dance for the night will be a "Cha Cha Relay." In this, all of the couples will dance to the same song and will be ranked by the judges. The couple deemed the best will gain 10 extra points, with 8 points going to second place, 6 points for third place and 4 points for the couple that comes in last.

Considering the amount of endurance needed to survive three dances, the results should be interesting tonight.

MUPPETS!!! And Other Entertainment
In case you somehow managed to ignore the headline, the Muppets will be on Dancing with the Stars this week!!!

Yes, I am excited about this. The Muppets are awesome. Deal with it.

The Muppets will be in the DWTS ballroom on Tuesday night to perform a dance number (I don't know how they'll do that, but it should be interesting) to "Life's a Happy Song" from the upcoming film of The Muppets. We can expect such Muppet favorites as Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal, Gonzo, Pepe, the Swedish Chef, Beaker and more.

There will be other entertainment this week, of course. On Monday night, DWTS pro and troupe dancers will perform an Argentine tango choreographed by tango masters Sandor and Parissa. A second dance performance, one of the "AT&T Spotlight Performances" will feature four teen dancers from Boston performing with DWTS professional partners.

For music, Tuesday night will feature Cobra Starship, featuring Sabi. They will perform their single, "You Make Me Feel."

The Standings
Going into the semi-finals, it's safe to say that this is one close competition. J.R. Martinez and Ricki Lake have been fighting it out for the top spot over the past couple of weeks -- J.R. is going into the semi-finals with a slight advantage. Likewise, Rob Kardashian and Hope Solo find their positions to be very similar in a run for third place: the two dancers will enter the semi-finals with identical overall scores.

  • J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: 261 points overall
  • Ricki Lake and Derek Hough: 257 points overall
  • Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke: 234 points overall
  • Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: 234 points overall.

It's still anyone's DWTS game!
