Dancing with the Stars: Season 7 Cast Spoilers
Share This Share this
We've all been waiting patiently for Monday morning, when ABC has promised to reveal the cast of Dancing with the Stars season 7, but thanks to the good folks over at GossipSauce, I guess we won't have to wake up early to watch the official season 7 cast announcement on Good Morning America next Monday.

I can't say that I'm terribly excited for this season's lineup, but then again, it was tough to beat season 6, which counted the likes of Kristi Yamaguchi, Steve Guttenberg and that adorable Cristian de la Fuente on its roster. Read on and see for yourself whether this new season boasts better performers than the last.

Here are the 13 celebrities on the leaked cast list:

Brooke Burke, TV personality and former host of Rockstar
Cloris Leachman, 82-year-old actress
Cody Linley, 18-year-old actor on Hannah Montana
Jeff Ross, standup comedian
Kim Kardashian, posteriorrific celebutante
Lance Bass, openly gay former member of *NSync
Mark McGrath, singer and host of The Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious
Maurice Greene, sprinter
Misty May-Treanor, beach volleyball player
Susan Lucci, All My Children actress and Daytime's Leading Lady
Ted McGinley, actor best known for his role on Married…with Children
Toni Braxton, Grammy award-winning singer
Warren Sapp, football player

Many of these names have been appearing in the gossip magazines all summer. I'm not surprised to find Warren Sapp, Lance Bass or Toni Braxton on the roster. I was hoping against hope that Kim Kardashian wouldn't be included as well, even though it looked like she was campaigning for a spot on the show, but as luck would have it, she made the list. Hopefully, she'll get booted off the first week and we'll be able to forget all about her. And what happened to Tom Selleck? The could fit in Kim's booty onto the show, but not Magnum, P.I.?

I am familiar with the three athletes on the list. I'm excited to see what Warren Sapp has to offer. He's a big guy, but is known for being really light on his feet. I'd like to see how that translates to dance. I'm a huge fan of track and field, so of course, I'm familiar with Maurice Greene, who was once the Fastest Man in the World. And Misty May-Treanor and her scantily clad ass has been all over the airwaves this August, competing in beach volleyball at the Beijing Olympics. I'm actually surprised to see her on the list. Usually, successful Olympians have at least a three- to six-month window of fame immediately after the Olympics end before they fade into obscurity. Perhaps May-Treanor is trying to pre-empt her inevitable removal from the public consciousness, or maybe she just wants Mark Ballas to slap her behind.

Of the entertainers on the list, however, I think I'm in the wrong demographic to appreciate most of them. I only have a hazy recollection of Cloris Leachman from The Facts of Life, and I'm certainly too young to have seen her on The Mary Tyler Moore Show. I'm too old to know who Cody Linley is, and my taste in TV is too refined for me to have seen Mark McGrath on Girlicious. (OK, that's not true. After all, I'm very familiar with Brooke Burke from her Rockstar: Supernova days.)

My early picks to make it to the top three are Lance Bass, Maurice Greene and Toni Braxton. (It hasn't been revealed yet whether Lance will be dancing with a dame or a gent; I may have to adjust my prediction once this information is made known.) My predictions on who will be the first three eliminated from Dancing with the Stars? Kim Kardashian (please, please, please), Brooke Burke, and Jeff Ross.

The official cast announcement will be made on Monday, August 25 on Good Morning America. The Dancing with the Stars seventh season premiere will air on Monday, September 22 at 8pm, continuing the following night at 9pm with a special performance show. The first results show will air on Wednesday, September 24 at 8pm.
