It’s time for the second couple to be eliminated on Dancing with the Stars season 23. Following a speedy, hour-long Face-Off night, six losing couples face the executioner’s axe on Tuesday night, but which one will it be?

'Dancing with the Stars' Predictions: Who Will Go Home in Week 3?

The format for the Face-Off certainly makes it easier since Laurie, James, Calvin, Maureen, Jana and Vanilla Ice have nothing to worry about. But that only makes it scarier for the others. Here’s a look at the leaderboard with just the six couples facing elimination.

THE LEADERBOARD

30: Terra Jole
28: Marilu Henner
25: Ryan Lochte, Amber Rose, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds
23: Rick Perry

SHOULD BE SAFE

There’s no way Derek Hough is going to be eliminated earlier than sixth place, so Marilu is safe. And Terra was phenomenal and really stands out in a crowd, so she’s also good. This is really a battle between the bottom four.

IN JEOPARDY

Ryan can’t rely on all of the press from the week 1 protest anymore, so his time could easily be cut short. Amber is also in serious trouble as she has done a pretty bad job of making any sort of impact on the show. However, both of these stars benefit greatly from having Cheryl Burke and Maksim Chmerkovskiy as their partners.

The real battle is probably between Babyface and Rick Perry. Rick somehow avoided elimination last week despite having the lowest scores and could easily do the same thing. Monday night’s episode aired right before the first presidential debate, so there may be more politically-minded viewers than usual who will vote for him.

Babyface, on the other hand, performed first and, with such a fast-paced episode, he may have been completely forgotten about by the end. This elimination is probably going to come down to sheer popularity, not the dancing, and that hurts Babyface. He’s a known quantity, but he’s not typically in front of the cameras and may not have as much of a fan base as Rick, Cheryl or Maks.

MY PREDICTION

Last week my brain told me to go with Jake, but I predicted Rick instead. This time, I’m going with my brain. I think the presidential debate helped Rick Perry and, historically, even Tom DeLay managed to survive the first two eliminations of season 9. So I’m predicting a somewhat surprising elimination for Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Allison Holker.

Allison has never done this badly before, but there’s a first time for everything and the combination of the Face-Off twist and a one-hour performance show could really mess things up. Even though they have better scores after three weeks than five other couples still in the competition, I think their time is now.

The second Dancing with the Stars results show airs Tuesday at 8/6c on ABC.
