The scariest night of the year on Dancing with the Stars is about to claim a victim. Monday’s spooky-themed episode will find the eight remaining couples dancing individually and in teams, but one will go home.

Given the fact that the bottom five couples are all within five points of each other, this could be the time for a shocking elimination.

THE LEADERBOARD

39: Alfonso Ribeiro
36: Bethany Mota
35: Sadie Robertson
33: Janel Parrish
32: Lea Thompson
30: Michael Waltrip
28: Tommy Chong, Antonio Sabato, Jr.

DEFINITELY SAFE

Alfonso continues to be the one to beat, even with a groin injury. And between the Derek Hough fans and the Duck Dynasty supporters, Bethany Mota and Sadie Robertson are cruising for a few more weeks.

POTENTIAL SHOCKERS

Lea Thompson and Janel Parrish are squarely in the middle of the leaderboard from last week, and with such a small gap separating them from the bottom, they could be in danger. Lea got some heavy criticism for trying too hard to be like Alfonso and the judges didn’t seem to find any chemistry between Janel and Val. As far as I’m concerned, they both deserve to be in the finale, but anything can happen, and on Halloween Night I’m preparing myself for the scariest possible outcome.

IN JEOPARDY

More realistically, the three other male stars should be the ones in trouble as they were at the bottom of the leaderboard. Michael Waltrip crept up a bit thanks to the fact that he wasn’t trying to be funny, but maybe being safe could backfire and lose him some voters who don’t think they have anything to worry about.

Tommy and Antonio have more to worry about. Tommy has been getting worse and worse every week while Antonio has never really found his groove, getting consistently mediocre scores. In fact, Michael and Antonio are the only remaining stars who have yet to receive anything higher than an 8 from any of the judges, even the obscenely generous guests.

MY PREDICTION

I predict Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd will be eliminated. I think Michael’s fan base will regrettably keep him around yet again while Antonio will benefit from sympathy for partner Cheryl Burke, whose father was ill last week. That leaves Tommy, and I think the judges’ pronouncement that he will be around for a long time could backfire, and instead, his supporters assumed he would fine and didn’t vote as strongly last week.

Who do you think will be eliminated on Halloween Night? And do you think Derek Hough will continue his streak of always winning the team dances?
