The new format of Dancing with the Stars
begins this week as the performance show becomes the results show as
well. In week 2, all 12 couples will dance again, but at the end of the
night, the scores from the first two weeks, combined with the viewer
votes from last week, will result in the first couple being eliminated.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
This makes predicting who goes home on Dancing with the Stars
this season slightly more difficult, since we have no idea what the leaderboard will look like. However, I'll try my best.
Here are the scores from the first week:
27: Amber Riley
24: Corbin Bleu and Elizabeth Berkley
23: Jack Osbourne and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi
22: Brant Daugherty and Christina Milian
21: Leah Remini and Valerie Harper
18: Bill Engvall
17: Keyshawn Johnson
14: Bill Nye
There's obviously a big divide between the first nine stars and the Bottom 3, but will the scores dictate who goes?
Here are my four picks for who is most likely to go home.Bill Nye and Tyne Stecklein
He has the lowest score by a lot and will almost certainly have the lowest score in week 2 as well. He's easily the worst dancer of the season, but he also seems to have a strong fan base. The audience at the show and social media indicated that the Science Guy has plenty of fans, and that could be enough to keep him safe for a few weeks if he can keep it somewhat close on the leaderboard.Keyshawn Johnson and Sharna Burgess
Football players typically do well on this show, but that could change this season. His scores are low and he has a relatively unfamiliar partner. With such a wide and talented cast, the former NFL star could disprove the common thinking that football stars succeed on DWTS
.Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani
There just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of support for Leah and no one seems to really care whether she stays or goes. She's a decent enough dancer and I like her sass, but it might be too abrasive to get many fans. Also, Tony has a pretty bad track record and tends to get eliminated fairly early (he was the first one out in season 14 and the second one out last season).Bill Engvall and Emma Slater
Comedians and new pros both do poorly on this show, so this couple has two reasons to worry. He's a better dancer than I expected, but that doesn't mean much as he's still in the Bottom 3 on the leaderboard. He'll have to hope and pray the redneck vote keeps him around. My Prediction
Of those four, I'm going to predict that Keyshawn and Sharna will be the first couple eliminated
. It feels wrong predicting the NFL player, but I think Leah's scores will keep her safe and I think Bill Nye and Bill Engvall each have enough of a fan base to protect them in week 1.
Who do you think will be the first couple to go home on Dancing with the Stars
