The end is near.

After 9 weeks of performances, minor controversies and a whole lot of sequins, Dancing with the Stars season 13 will come to an end this week with performances and results on Monday and Tuesday nights. Will J.R. Martinez reclaim his position as the season 13 front runner? Will Ricki Lake's moves win her the Mirror Ball? Does Rob Kardashian have a chance?

Keep reading to find out what's in store for the Dancing with the Stars finale.

Monday Night
This week's DWTS performance show will be shorter than usual -- only one hour from 8pm to 9pm. In that time, the remaining three couples will each need to perform two dances. For the first dance, each couple will perform a style not yet danced. The second, meanwhile, will be the anything-goes freestyle dance.

Based on those performances, viewers will have one final chance to vote before the results come in on Tuesday.

Tuesday Night
To start off the night, each of the final couples will perform their favorite dances of the season before one couple is eliminated for good. The two remaining couples will face off in an Instant Samba in order to pick the champion.

Because five dances are nowhere near enough to fill two hours (from 9-11pm) of Dancing with the Stars, there will be other entertainment as well. This week's musical guest is the band Lady Antebellum, who will perform their songs "Dancing Away with My Heart" and "Need You Now," accompanied by various professional and troupe dancers.

The entire cast of Dancing with the Stars season 13 will also return for the night. From long-forgotten dancers like Elisabetta Canalis to never-actually-left Carson Kressley, everyone's favorite and least-favorite eliminees will take the stage one final time.

How It's Looking
Going in to the finals, it is a close race between the remaining celebrity dancers. Only a few points separate Ricki, J.R. and Rob from each other when the scores for the season are combined. If the finale dances keep up this trend, it will be mostly on the voters to decide who has a chance at Mirror Ball glory.

  • Ricki Lake and Derek Hough: 316 points overall
  • J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff: 311 points overall
  • Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke: 289 points overall
