, the second celebrity contestant who was sent home on Dancing with the Stars
after Belinda Carlisle
, remains puzzled about her elimination especially since she and professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy
won Monday's live Dance Off against Girls Next Door
star Holly Madison
and partner Dmitry Chaplin
"After doing the Dance Off - which I don't understand the whole thing, how that works - I thought after that and the response from the judges and the audience that I had a shot at staying," Richards said during a Tuesday night Jimmy Kimmel Live
appearance that followed her Dancing with the Stars
elimination. "I really didn't think I was going."
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Richards and Chmerkovskiy may have won the Dance-Off but their lack of home viewer votes in comparison to Madison and Chaplin ultimately became the deciding factor for the boot. In spite of everything, Richards had a blast on the show.
"I really did have a good time. I love the show, I will still be a fan. It was fun," Richards told Kimmel. "I wish I lasted longer, but I didn't. It's OK."
Earlier this season, many were presuming that either Shawn Johnson
, Melissa Rycroft
and Gilles Marini
will have the competition in the bag. But according to Richards, she may have underestimated one pair: Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak
and partner Karina Smirnoff
, who received the lowest score of the week, and the lowest score in six seasons but were still able to stay off elimination.
"I think Steve just went out there and had fun. He's very entertaining," said Richards. "I didn't know that he was going to be one of my biggest competitors."
"America loves him and he is probably one of the happiest people I've ever met," she said, adding that it's "very possible" that Wozniak "could win."
Meanwhile, fans can relive Denise Richards' brief Dancing with the Stars
stint as it will be featured in at least one episode of the sophomore season of Denise Richards: It's Complicated.
