When you think about it, the Kardashian family is perfectly positioned to dominate all of reality television. There are roughly 8000 of them (I only exaggerate slightly there), and they all seem absolutely devoted to the concept of living their lives on television. Thus, there was an obvious need to get at least one member of the Kardashian family on Dancing with the Stars -- it's been three years since Kim Kardashian took the stage.

But which Kardashian is it this time?

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

It turns out that it's the boy. Rob Kardashian, brother of all those K-named girls, has officially signed on to season 13 of Dancing with the Stars, according to a report from TMZ.com.

There had been rumors of Rob's involvement in the upcoming season, but the confirmation had to wait until the reality star-adjacent had worked out the scheduling. Kim Kardashian is due to get married this August, so all plans had to work around that. Considering that the Dancing with the Stars season does not actually begin until September, they probably worked something out.

Who will be Rob Kardashian's competition in the upcoming season?

While no other names have emerged as likely sure-things, there have been rumors about several personalities. After a brief period of DWTS casting-rumor prominence, mutterings about various members of the Lohan clan (not Lindsay, who is apparently not quite fame-desperate enough yet) have decreased. It's certainly possible that one could get in, but there's nothing to indicate a deal at this time.

Over on the sports front, Ron Artest has recently emerged as a possible contender for a Dancing with the Stars spot. The NBA player has reportedly been trying to work out a schedule that incorporates both basketball and dancing into his fall.

Supposedly, Dancing with the Stars is trying to find higher-profile celebrities this year. Will they succeed? Considering the names that have come out so far, it doesn't seem too likely.

But at least they got a Kardashian. The reality world could not settle for less.
