Dancing with the Stars 7: Bottom Five Power Rankings
Share This Share this
Thirteen pairs of celebrities and professional dancers will take the floor when the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars opens on Monday, September 22. This is a season of superlatives: the largest cast, the oldest and youngest competitors, two Olympic gold medalists, a Super Bowl champion, among many others.

This year, there will be two eliminations on two consecutive nights. All 13 teams will prepare two routines for the first week of competition on Dancing with the Stars. Everyone gets to perform on Monday night, but only 12 will perform their second routine on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday, during the first results show of the season, a second couple will be eliminated.

I've spent the last couple of weeks looking at each pair's strengths and weaknesses, and now it's finally time to rank them. Here, I present to you the bottom five couples.

13. Jeffrey Ross and Edyta Sliwinska

As much as it pains me to say this, I have absolutely no faith that Jeff and Edyta will make it past the first night. They say that a team is only as strong as their weakest link. Well, I'm pretty sure that Jeff is anything but strong in the ballroom department. It's too bad, too. You know he would have been a crack-up when receiving critiques from the judges. He and Len Goodman would be tremendously entertaining, trading barbs. Oh well.

12. Kim Kardashian and Mark Ballas

It pains me considerably less to say that I think the notorious star of Keeping up With the Kardashians will be leaving us in the first week as well. I might be wrong about this – maybe her infamy will work to keep her around for at least a couple of weeks, but I'm hoping that she'll be gone come Wednesday night.

11. Rocco DiSpirito and Karina Smirnoff

Oh man, I know I'm going to get in trouble for this one. I swear I mean no disrespect to Karina's abilities as a teacher, choreographer and performer. The reason why I have them at number 11 is because I don't have much faith in Rocco's potential as a ballroom performer. Take a look at his rehearsal photos and tell me that he doesn't look awkward and stiff.

10. Brooke Burke and Derek Hough

I've mulled over this pair for quite a while now. While I think that Brooke will escape the trend of models being eliminated in the first week, I think she'll easily be left behind by her competition after the first few weeks.

9. Cloris Leachman and Corky Ballas

Let's face it. Cloris Leachman, although she is a great old dame, really has no chance at all of winning Dancing with the Stars. I think she'll do an excellent job and pleasantly surprise us, but her clock is already ticking.
