It's the fourth week of
Dancing with the Stars season 6. So far this season,
Penn Jillette,
Monica Seles and
Steve Guttenberg have all had to end their dance training and say good-bye.
After last night's paso doble and Viennese waltz performances,
Kristi Yamaguchi maintained her coveted position as the judges' golden child, earning a nearly perfect 29 out of 30. However, she was quickly joined by
Jason Taylor, who tied her for first place. Nipping at their heels was
Shannon Elizabeth, who managed to make Len give up a 10 for the first time all season.
At the bottom was
Adam Carolla, with 19 points, and
Priscilla Presley, 22 points. Tonight, we found out what America thought of these performances. Read on to find out the results.
Well, before I get to that, let me get the filler out of the way. The live musical act was Sheryl Crow, performing "All I Wanna Do" and "Out of Our Heads." Head judge Len Goodman picked Adam and
Julianne Hough to encore their paso doble from last night. Out came the unicycle again for a thoroughly entertaining routine.
An ongoing segment on
Dancing with the Stars was introduced tonight, featuring the performance of the ballroom kids. In this segment, young, nine-year-old dancers will perform each week and get evaluated by the three judges, for a chance to come back and perform again. Tonight, Aaron #1 and Daniela performed the samba, and Aaron #2 and Rashell danced the paso doble. By a vote of 2-1, Aaron #2 and Rashell will be returning to
Dancing with the Stars to perform on live television again.
And now, down to the good stuff. The stars who found out tonight that they will definitely be coming back for at least another week of competition were Jason Taylor, Kristi Yamaguchi,
Marlee Matlin,
Cristian de la Fuente,
Mario, Shannon Elizabeth and
Marissa Jaret Winokur.
In the bottom two were Priscilla Presley and Adam Carolla. Unfortunately for Adam and Julianne, they did not receive enough votes to beat Priscilla and were sent packing tonight. And then, there were eight.
Which couple is going to get the lowest scores next Monday?
