After last night's
Dancing with the Stars performance show, there were two couples who were clearly at the bottom of the leaderboard, with a distinct separation of three or four points from the rest of the pack. The two at the bottom were
Floyd Mayweather and his partner
Karina Smirnoff and, coming in dead last,
Mark Cuban and his partner
Kym Johnson. To my untrained eye, these two clearly deserved to be at the bottom. And sure enough, it was one of them who was sent home tonight.

The musical guest was supposed to be Gloria Estafan, but she couldn’t make it for personal reasons. Instead, the
Dancing with the Stars backup singers performed “The Rhythm Is Gonna Get You” in her stead, while the professional dancers danced along.
The highlight of the night for me was watching Wade Robson dance. I’ve enjoyed his routines so much on
So You Think You Can Dance that it’s nice to see that he can move too. His jazz ensemble routine had a circus theme. He was the magician, and he had various clowns and mimes and other circus folk dancing together as well.
Now that there are fewer couples in the competition, these hour-long results shows seem to be more and more filler. But it was still entertaining because we got to see Wayne Newton perform his iconic song “Danke Schoen.” I’m glad he could come back to the
Dancing with the Stars stage in his own element, although, you gotta think that he’s probably really sick of that song by now.
Len chose Cameron Mathison and Edyta Sliwinska to encore their
Superman paso doble. Even though I am unabashedly rooting for Jennie Garth, I’m glad that these two were chosen because seriously, this routine rocks. The movements are modern but within the style, and their costumes rock.
Now for the actual results part. Everyone except Floyd and Karina and Mel B and Maks were safe. I really can’t believe that Mel B, whose performance was solid, was in the bottom two, but thankfully, she got America’s vote and doesn’t have to leave the competition quite yet. Floyd and Karina are the fourth couple to be eliminated.
