After winning
Dancing with the Stars last season, television personality and former model
Brooke Burke says the three months she spent working her ass off practicing for the show has paid off. “It is such a phenomenon with 20 million viewers,” she says. “It is a great way to become a household name.”
Burke, 37, who partnered with
Derek Hough, says she took a couple of years off to have her last two babies and her stint with
Dancing with the Stars helped putting herself “back on the map.” Winning the whole thing helped, too, apparently.
“It also changed me as a person,” she adds. “It was very challenging. It was a terrifying experience but also very exciting, and it challenged every single part of me."
As for Burke's future plans, she says she's working on several things, including an online business, her mommy site, her online store, not to mention a book about balancing motherhood and everything else. “But I am also working on a bunch of other things and hoping to get back on TV real soon.”
Dancing with the Stars returns this March on ABC.
