The girls of the Miami Stars dance team really weigh in this week - literally. Besides all of the other drama that the moms are causing for their daughters, the petite performers must face the ultimate humiliation and step on the scale in front of their coaches and fellow dancers.
Supposedly this is meant to teach them about the world of dance and what they will face if they continue to make dance part of their life. However true this may be, I just can't come to grips with making 9 and 10 year old girls (and boy) get on a scale to let them know how unfit they are to be a professional dancer. I'm actually shocked that we never saw this happen with Abby Lee and her dancers, but I guess this is how they do it in Miami.
Now, it's got to be hard to get two 9-10-year-olds to understand what it feels like to be in love, so Victor and Angel have a real challenge on their hands when trying to get Kimmy and Lucas to connect. However difficult it may have been for them, the two deserve major props for their romantic duet. They do not dance like they are nine and ten years old, but rather as professionals playing the part they were given. I'd say these two have a bright future and hopefully they will continue to be paired up together in upcoming duets!Going for the Gold
It looks like Victor and Angel's choreography has paid off this week when they rake in first place scores in almost every category. Thankfully, despite Hannah's mini meltdown she pulls it together and earns the gold alongside Jessi, Kimmy and Lucas in their respective categories. With all of these first place wins, I wonder who Victor and Angel will pick to be at the top of the list and what reasons they will give for their choices. I smell major drama coming our way once these Stars are ranked.
