'Dance Moms: Miami' Recap: Dancing Through Insecurities
The theme of this week's performance is "insecurities" and the coaches won't let their tiny dancers hold anything back. In an effort to bring out their inner artists, Victor and Angel have the whole team take a break from rehearsals and talk about their own insecurities. I have to applaud the exercise and attempt to make them connect with the dance rather than just performing it for a trophy. After winning performances last week and making it to the top of the list, we can expect to see solos from Lucas, Sammy and Kimmy at this week's competition.

Dance Moms is available on Amazon Prime.

Deja-vu

After competing at Starbound in California last week against about 100 other dancers, the Stars team heads back to California to the same competition to face a staggering 500 competitors. The pressure is really on for Victor and Angel to deliver wins with their soloists and group numbers, but it seems like Kimmy's obsessive need to be perfect might damage her ability to perform. Although, I'm fairly certain that it's the moms who are the cause behind some of these insecurities to always be perfect.

Like Mother, Like Daughter

In a hilarious turn of events, Victor and Angel give the moms a taste of reality when they have the girls mimic their mothers' behaviors - and they are dead on. Jessi could be her mother's twin when scolding the others, and obviously Sammy's mom likes to take a load of with some cocktails when she gets stressed. Clearly, the apples don't fall far from the tree and if you are a parent and think your kids don't notice how you act ... think again.

Solo Sabotage

Oh no she didn't! Debi is accused of conspiring with Victor to sabotage Sammy's solo at the Starbound competition, and when Abby finds out you better believe she's going to fight back. Now, we don't have any definite confirmation, but by Victor's reaction it's pretty obvious that Debi did in fact approach him and request that he somehow guarantee she doesn't win. And, considering Sammy didn't even place among the winning soloists, it is definitely a fishy situation.

Next week Victor and Angel don't split up the two fueding moms, but rather put their daughters together in a duet. Spiteful? Sneaky? Maybe ... but I can't wait to see it!
