Last season on
Damages, viewers got a taste of Patty Hewes (
Glenn Close), the brilliant yet ruthless lawyer attempting to win a class-action lawsuit against Arthur Frobisher (
Ted Danson), the former CEO of a corporation ,on behalf of his former workers, by any means necessary. While the end of the pilot season's 13 episodes was more than satisfying, it also left fans hungry for more. With the filming of the second season having just started last month, it's going to be a long wait before fans of the legal drama get a hold of new episodes. In the meantime, here are some spoilers to ease the wait.
Warning: Major spoilers ahead.
Thanks to Zap2it.com, we now know that the second season of
Damages will unfold like an addictive thriller novel, just like it did on its first run. While we expect more conflicts to arise as brought about by the new players of the show, including Academy Award-winner William Hurt and
Deadwood star
Timothy Olyphant, we should also expect more drama brewing among its original cast members.
First off is Frobisher, the powerful and self-made multi-billionaire who was accused of selling his own company down the river, dumping his stock for a bundle and leaving his employees penniless. Even though he was shot by a former employee in the last episode when going back on his word to help the man out, fans have not seen the last of the first season's crook. In fact, he'll be returning for the sophomore season, alive, but not necessarily well. Frobisher will reportedly be laid up in a hospital bed, having undergone several surgeries to save his life. But as expected, his wife and kids will not be at his side.
Ellen Parsons (
Rose Byrne), on the other hand, will still struggle with the tragic events of the past but will be savvier and forceful than ever. As for Patty, she hasn't changed much despite the death and destruction she has caused in the first season. Naturally, she'll spring back to work to tackle rumors of two season-long litigations.
Catch the second season of
Damages, which is likely to kick off early next year on FX.
