The world has lost one of the most iconic stars in TV history. Larry Hagman, best known as J.R. Ewing from Dallas, died Friday from cancer at Medical City Dallas Hospital. He was 81.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Hagman made his mark in the original Dallas, crafting one of TV's most memorable characters, and he returned to the recent TNT remake. The show is currently filming its second season, scheduled to premiere January 28, and Hagman filmed scenes for the first few episodes. There's no word yet on how the show will address this tragedy.

Hagman's family released a statement sating "Larry was back in his beloved Dallas, re-enacting the iconic role he loved most." As it was Thanksgiving, he was surrounded by friends and family in his final days and Dallas co-stars Patrick Duffy and Linda Grey were by his side when he passed.

While Hagman had a long acting career spanning more than 50 years, it's the manipulative oil tycoon J.R. Ewing that he will always be remembered for. The world won't be the same without Hagman and his glorious eyebrows.
