The runner-up on the first season of Daisy of Love, Flex didn't end up as heartbroken as he thought he would be. He knew he cared for Daisy de la Hoya somewhat, but the connection just wasn't that evident.
On his interview with VH1, Flex admitted that all the feelings he had for the girl were because he was caught up in the moment with her. Of course, there was also the factor of alcohol being added to his "I'm falling in love with you" confession. London played a huge part too, since he quickly overshadowed Flex and everyone upon his return.
"When you're in the moment, you say how you feel, I guess," he admitted. "I was sincere when I said I had feelings for her, and I thought she was a great girl. But toward the end, after she brought London back, it was just like, OK. Obviously we know who's going to win because she had that extreme crush on him in the beginning. The show was over when he walked back through the door."
Flex went on to say that he'd have made a better match for Daisy than London, but it was still her choice in the end. "We didn't have the connection that she had with London, so I knew we weren't meant for each other," he said. "I knew I would be a better fit for her than London. I knew I could take care of her and not disrespect her like the way she's been disrespected in the past."
Still, Flex admitted that he never really was into Daisy upon seeing her. "I was attracted to her personality, but not physically. I'm not really into fake: fake boobs, fake lips, fake everything. But she was a really sweet girl. When we talked on and off camera, she had intelligent things to say. I looked at the inside beauty that she had more than her outer beauty. Yeah, she's a pretty girl, but she's a great girl on the inside."
It's one of the reasons why he kept in touch with her even after
Daisy of Love wrapped up. "She's been to Chicago and we hung out and drank," he said. "We're not supposed to, but we have. She's fun as hell. She was really worried about London, like, "I don't know what London's up to!" It was like, you guys are really serious? They really love each other? It's ridiculous."
