-Action CSI: NY follows the lives, loves and careers of the men and women in the Crime Scene Investigation forensic unit in New York City. The show chronicles the tools, techniques, science and technology employed by Detectives Mac Taylor, Stella Bonasera, Danny Messer, Don Flack, Sheldon Hawkes and Lindsay Monroe as they sift through forensic evidence from various crimes, in order to solve them and apprehend the perpetrators. CSI: NY airs on CBS.

Gary Sinise was born on March 17, 1955. He is known to be a film director and an Emmy award winning actor. His film credits include Forrest Gump, Of Mice and Men, Apollo 13, The Green Mile, Reindeer Games, Mission to Mars, The Stand and Ransom. Apart from his career in the limelight, he is actively involved with several charities and non-profit organizations. Ultimately, he is part of the crime drama television series CSI: NY as Mac Taylor.

Mac Taylor is the leader of the CSI team. He is described to be a man of principles especially when it comes to the honor of his country, the safety of his city and the integrity of his lab. He has a close friendship with Stella Bonasera and takes pleasure in playing the bass guitar.
