Kevin Federline (aka K-Fed) Guests on CSI Tonight
Why? Kevin Federline is right up there with Nicole Ritchie, Monica Lewinsky, and Fred Durst as one of the least deserving famous people of all time. Considering this unmovable truth, one is led to wonder how he landed a guest spot on a television juggernaut like CSI. CSI certainly won't benefit from the publicity surrounding K-Fed's appearance because, frankly, there hasn't been any. Does CBS owe Britney Spears a favor? I can't envision any sort of scenario in which this is the case, unless Charlie Sheen is prominently involved.
Maybe Federline has some untapped potential that has yet to be unleashed upon the world. Maybe someday we'll look back at K-Fed's time with Britney and think, "Wow, isn't it crazy that one of our all-time greatest actors was first known as Britney Spears' husband? Thank goodness CSI gave him the chance that no one else would. Federline's appearance on CSI is likely harmless and is something a show as well-established as CSI can easily afford to do. But that still doesn't make it right. It's like when Michelle Wie receives sponsor's exemptions to play in PGA tour events. Sure, it might help publicity and she may not make a fool of herself, but she's taking the place of some guy who's more deserving. That guy who isn't playing because Michelle Wie is is probably some poor grinder who sleeps in his car, never sees his family, and is lucky to qualify for half the tournaments during the year. K-Fed may not be terrible, but I know there is some actor out there that has paid his dues who could've played Federline's role exponentially better. -Oscar Dahl, BuddyTV Senior Writer
