Aaron John “A. J.” Buckley is an Irish-Canadian movie and television actor who was born on February, 1978 in Dublin, Ireland. He appears as a member of the cast in the CBS crime drama series CSI: NY. Buckley played the character Adam Ross, who was introduced during the series’ second season. Ross is a lab technician with a wide range of talents, and was employed by the New York City crime lab to work with audiovisuals and trace evidence. Buckley has also appeared on another CSI show, which is CSI: Crime Scene Investigation as the character Ted Martin.
A.J. Buckley migrated from Ireland to Canada with his family when he was six years old, and studied at the St. Thomas Moore private school. While in his teens, he landed several guest spots on numerous shows. His string of supporting roles usually included many films directed towards a teenage audience, having films like Wishcraft and Disturbing Behavior among his credentials. He has continued to appear in the public eye due to his many television appearances, being seen early on in Are You Afraid of the Dark?, as an extra in The X-Files, and an episode of NYPD Blue. Buckley also became known for his roles in Haunted, The Collector, the HBO series Entourage, Bones and Supernatural. His film credits include The Forsaken and the Sci Fi Channel’s Silent Warnings. He was also in Extreme Days with Ryan Gosling, who he formed a band with. Buckley plays the drums, and is also credited for doing voice work for the animated film Happy Feet and for the video game Kingdom Hearts II. He was also seen in 2007’s The Box, Walking Tall: The Payback and The Last Sin Eater. In 2006 he was given a role in You Did What? and was also seen in films like In Enemy Hands, Nightstalker and Girl Fever.
