
Disappearing ink and an exploding cigar may imply a practical joke but when it involves a murder victim, it becomes no laughing matter to the forensic scientists of
CSI: NY. Find out what will happen when a prankster has the tables turned as tragedy hits close to home for one of the team's key players in the episode “Child's Play,” which is expected to air on December 12.

In “Child's Play,” the New York Police Department's team of forensic scientists investigates a murder victim in a club scene where they find several clues that lead them to an infamous seller of killer pranks, “Laughing Larry.”
According to CSI Files, the victim is one of the young party-goers named Essex Palmer, whose death was a result of an explosion at the bar caused by the cigar he was carrying. It is reported that that Essex was a club regular and liked to play jokes on people. Stella (
Melina Kanakaredes) and Lindsay (
Anna Belknap) wonder who might have had it in for Essex and what joke he could have played that would have earned him a deadly exploding cigar in return.
Another spoiler for this episode centers on Danny (
Carmine Giovinazzo) as he experiences a devastating loss. While the rest of the team gets preoccupied with the killer hoax, Mac (
Gary Sinise) and Hawkes (
Hill Harper) attempt to track down a man that ran off from the bodega where a body of a little boy was found dead. Danny, who knows the victim as Ruben Sandoval, is shocked to see his lifeless body given that Danny had seen the vibrant little boy just a few hours before his death.
Playing the role of Ruben Sandoval is Anthony Tavera who is credited for his roles on

Standoff. Also appearing on the episode are Mark Simich and Richard V. Licata. Simich, who plays the role of Essex Palmer, has been cast in movies like Th

Boston Legal and
The West Wing.
