CSI: NY's fifth season ended with, literally, a bang. Lots of it. It was a pretty stormy episode, I'll have to add: Angell was killed within the first twenty minutes, Flack took things a little bit personal, and in the end, someone sprays machine gun fire at the entire team. The question, of course, is this: whose life will be put on the line?
No, I mean, not after all that happened on that day, no.
We've been asking that question for, more or less, the past six months or so--from the moment we first got wind of the official details for the fifth season finale, to the moment we realized no answers will be given until tonight. Which means, finally, tonight, when the sixth season of
CSI: NY starts, we'll know who precisely was on the losing end of that gunfire.
Catch is, I think we all know who that is.
Remember the photos from tonight's episode I showed you? It's pretty much confirmation of the rumors that have been swirling around for the past couple or months or so: that Danny will be affected the most by the gunfire, and will end up in a wheelchair, for how long, we don't really know. I'm sticking with that belief, but I'll ask all the pertinent questions--how it'll affect Lindsay and their baby daughter Lucy, for one--tomorrow.
Tonight, though, the focus is on the team, and how they'll deal with what is obviously a big blow to them. When one of them falls, the search for the person who's responsible gets a bit more personal--perhaps much more than Flack dealing with Angell's death.
Also, Sarah Carter debuts tonight as Hayden Becall, a clean-up tech with aspirations of being a full-fledged CSI. That's
CSI: NY, kicking off all over again tonight from 10pm on CBS.
