During an idle stretch last week, I imagined Danny, now bound to a wheelchair, chasing bad guys down.
Of course, it seems a bit ridiculous, but last week's message of hope against all odds--however cheesy that sounds--seemed to fit with my daydream. He's just temporarily paralyzed, after all; just a few months of physical therapy (reflected on air) and a little more time should give him his ability to walk back. For the meantime, though, that'll remain as an elephant of sorts in the NYPD--a reminder of what happened before.
And, to Lindsay, a reminder of how much he loves her. Yes, I am being cheesy.
CSI: NY returns tonight to its usual form, except for that wheelchair bit. The team investigates the case of a cyber killer, who seems to be targeting medical workers and that sort. Clues online, I guess? I say hello to the sparkling wonders of Adam Ross.
But the case turns personal--really personal--when the killer invokes the name of Mac's father, who died almost twenty years ago. Which means
CSI: NY will do something close to what
CSI: Miami did last week, and give us a flashback. Just look at the photo up there and be treated to a younger Mac, with more hair, and in a military uniform.
Other points in this episode: I have this feeling the killer will take on at least two identities. And finally I figured it out: the villain is called Grave Digger. The episode previously referred to a "Hangman" but they apparently changed it.
CSI: NY returns tonight from 10pm on CBS. The photos--an incomplete set, I'll admit--is right below.
