CSI: NY: Newbie Kaye, Eager Lindsay, And More Overanalyzed Questions
I'll start asking a handful of questions first, if you may.

Flashback to CSI: NY's season finale.  They promised it'd be pretty crucial for many people, and indeed, it is.  I still remember that guessing game we all had, about which character will die in the first ten minutes of the episode--well, someone leaked it pretty early and, while watching the finale, I already knew that Angell was going to die and breaking Flack's heart at the same time.
And then, there's the cliffhanger ending: the entire team together in a bar, remembering Angell, suddenly finding themselves the target of a pretty brutal shooting.  The press release back then teased that someone else will find their lives hanging in the balance, but we don't get any idea who'll fall into a hole.  Cut to black, roll credits, wait for months.  That's how it always goes anyway.

Of course, there's the possibility that they're all just playing with us, and that nobody's really going to get hurt.  But I think that's nil.  I'm in a mood to whittle out possibilities.  Who's with me?

A month ago, it was revealed that there will be a new member to the CSI: NY team.  So far, they haven't cast this character, but the newbie, Kaye Sullivan, looks like she'll make an impact.  The character's described as a sexy and funny risk taker whose bookish knowledge and eagerness makes her a fit for the job.

Is she replacing someone, then?  No ideas, of course.  Maybe she's replacing Angell, but doesn't look like it from where I'm from, which is a couch with the television in front of me.  Speculation time: the character was described as being like Lindsay, perhaps because of the enthusiasm they both share.  Don't tell me she'll be killed off?

I had a feeling she will, not after she gave birth to Lucy in that first baby-related storyline in the franchise.  Nah, we're all still kept floating.  And besides, TVGuide.com somehow eliminated her on the list: they're saying that her relationship with Danny will go through a really rocky stage, considering they'll have to balance both work life and home life, plus an obstacle that's going to be their toughest yet, according to a show rep.

So maybe we can eliminate Danny, too.  But what if that obstacle involved that cliffhanger ending?  They did say that last scene will pretty much power the sixth season of the show.

But I'm overthinking this again, aren't I?
