claire forlaniClaire Forlani, known as Dr. Peyton Driscoll on CSI: New York, tied the knot with Dougray Scott, actor who portrayed Ian Hainsworth on Desperate Housewives, in Italy on Friday, June 8, 2007.

The wedding, which was mostly planned by Forlani’s father Pierluigi, who also served as “the official cook of the event,” took place in Forlani’s family country home in Pievebovigliana. Close to 120 guests gathered to take part in the private civil service, where Forlani wore a classic white strapless gown by designer Junko Yoshioka, high heels by Jimmy Choo, and a Swarovski crystal-studded hairpin to adorn her hairdo.

The couple met a year ago through a mutual friend and got engaged in September in Los Angeles. Scott proposed with a ring he had designed. "It was very romantic. I feel so lucky to have met her. She's an amazing actress and human being. I'm very happy," Scott told People.

Apart from playing a medical examiner on CSI: NY, the 35-year old actress was known for films like Meet Joe Black, Police Academy, and Boys and Girls. Most recently, she portrayed the role of Tori Bodeen in the movie version of Nora Robert’s best selling book Carolina Moon. Although she previously dated actors Brad Pitt, Ben Stiller, John Cusack and Benicio Del Toro, this is the first time Forlani walked down the aisle.

As for Scott, who appeared on the third season of Desperate Housewives as Teri Hatcher's character's new love interest, he was also known for his role in Mission Impossible II, The Truth About Love, and on the miniseries The Ten Commandments. His marriage to Forlani was actually his second time to tie the knot. The 41-year old actor first married casting director Sarah Trevis in 2000 and got divorced in 2005.
