leave the poor man alone
A spokesperson for the show has confirmed back in July that "[Cochrane] will be reprising the role of Tim Speedle and it's not a flashback…he will be interacting with his old partner and friend, Eric Delko [
Adam Rodriguez]."
In the episode “Bang, Bang, Your Debt,” which is the fourth episode of the season, the Miami team investigates the puzzling death of a student and discovers evidence that Tim Speedle may not be dead. According to
TV Guide, Eric Delko will see the ghost of his fallen colleague Tim Speedle as a result of his posttraumatic stress disorder. This will also send him into a downward spiral.
“Delko is doing a good job at masking his trauma," Rodriguez told
TV Guide "But I think [a meltdown] is definitely a possibility."
While seeing Tim might be bad for Eric, Cochrane's return is great for the cast
"I'm happy to have my buddy back," Rodriguez, who admitted last July that he was disappointed when Cochrane abruptly left
CSI: Miami in 2004, said. "It wasn't the world he wanted to live in. He walked away to make himself happy."
"I feel like he deserves to be here,"
Emily Procter, who plays Calleigh Duquesne, said. "I wish he hadn't been killed…Maybe just gone to prison [instead]."
In addition to Cochrane, Brendan Fehr (Dan Cooper), Johnny Whitworth (Det.Jake Berkeley) , Colton Hanyes (Brandon Fox), Arielle Vandenberg (Jessia Taylor) are also set to guest star on the episode.
