CSI: Miami's Adam Rodriguez Lands a Role in New Film
Adam Rodriguez, who portrays CSI Level 3 Detective Eric Delko on CSI: Miami, will be appearing in a film entitled Let the Game Begin.

Filming commenced on June 18th, with Feverpitch Pictures heading the production. The said production company was recently formed by distribution-production executives Jeffrey D. Erb and Joe Nicolo with the aim of producing films within a $1 million-$5 million budget bracket.

Let the Game Begin is written and directed by Amit Gupta, and stars Rodriguez as Ricky, a man who introduces his cousin, Max (Thomas Ian Nicholas) to the life of a pickup artist. In the process, Max becomes more confident and acquires the skills he needs to search for an honest and sincere woman. Other cast members include James Avery, Lochlyn Munro and Stephen Baldwin.

Rodriguez, 32, stepped into the world of acting by auditioning for the Cosby Show at the tender age of 10. He also wanted to become a professional baseball player, but an injury he incurred in high school caused him to shift his attention back to acting. He made his television debut in NYPD Blue in 1997, and from there, worked his way through numerous television series, including Brooklyn South, Law & Order, Felicity and Roswell. He started appearing regularly on television with his role in CSI: Miami in 2002, and his portrayal Eric Delko earned him a 2005 Imagen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor- Television.

In May, it was reported that CSI: Miami was renewed for a sixth season. According to TVGuide’s Michael Aussielo, CSI Head Investigator Lieutenant Horatio Caine (David Caruso) “will discover a branch of his family tree that he never knew existed.” Possible storylines for the season six premiere, including the death of a probation officer named Andrew Bennett, have also been posted on the web, but CBS, Alliance Atlantis and Bruckheimer Films have yet to confirm the reports.

The sixth season of CSI: Miami is scheduled to begin on September 24th, while Let the Game Begin is scheduled for release in November.
