
Before fans can indulge in new episodes of
CSI: Miami, which kicks of the seventh season on September 22, Paramount Home Entertainment will first release the much awaited season 6 on DVD on September 9. Fans can finally catch up and relive the latest season that will span over 15 hours of forensic adventures with
David Caruso and the rest of the team.
Season 6 premiered on September 24, 2007 and completed only 13 episodes before the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike. After the strike has been resolved, eight more installments were made, resulting in a 21-episode season.

The first episode of the season kicked off with Horatio investigating the murder of a probation officer that leads him to speculate that one of the chief suspects in the crime may be a son he never knew he had. The rest of the season rolls out as the team of forensic scientists unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths and crimes committed in Miami, Florida.

Emily Procter as Calleigh Duquesne,
Eva La Rue as Natalia Boa Vista,
Jonathan Togo as Ryan Wolfe,
Rex Linn as Frank Tripp and
Khandi Alexander as Alexx Woods, who left the series as her son is named the primary suspect in a murder case.
Some of the notable guest stars this season included Dina Meyer (
Birds of Prey, Starship Troopers), Dean Cain (
Lois & Clark, Las Vegas),
Justin Bruening (
Knight Rider, All My Children),
Elizabeth Berkley (
Saved By The Bell, Showgirls),
John Schneider (
Smallville, Dukes of Hazzard) and Tom Sizemore (
Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor).
Meanwhile, the sixth season DVD of CSI: Miami will also include some bonus features to accompany the 21-episodes in the 6-disc set. These include at least four exclusive featurettes and some audio commentaries with the cast and crew of
CSI: Miami.
