CSI: Miami: Previewing Season 7 Finale "Seeing Red"
Last week's CSI: Miami certainly put a close to some of the storylines introduced this season.  Horatio's (David Caruso) personal life, with Julia (Elizabeth Berkley) going to the brink and Kyle (Evan Ellingson) hanging out at the crime lab?  After she goes off the deep end with an attack at the morgue, she finds herself admitted to a mental institution, and we find ourselves seeing nice Horatio again.  The story that complicated that story, also known as Tara (Megalyn Echikunwoke) and her drug addiction?  Ryan (Jonathan Togo) finally spoke up and got her arrested for more than tampering with the evidence.

That doesn't leave everything tied up, however.  While Julia's story seems to be wrapped up for the time being--I'm expecting Kyle to still show up next season--there's quite a number of questions regarding Tara's arrest.  Surely that doesn't mean she will be away from the show for a while: there's still what happens after the arrest, and it's all still up in the air.  Will she justify her addiction, or will she just admit herself to rehab?  Will we get an idea how that started in the first place?  Perhaps more importantly, who will replace her for the time being?  (Or will the seemingly convenient bail be used?  Besides, she can't run away since she works with the people that arrested her.)

Those questions take a back seat, however, for tonight's season finale, when they attempt to tie up another storyline this season: the Russian mob.  The MDPD crime lab has had a lot of run-ins with these folks throughout the past few months, each growing more and more serious, especially the time when Ryan found himself in a post-abduction pickle.  Watching the previews, it will certainly be war, and by the looks of it, it will be personal.

A refresher, then, of the stuff that will happen: Yelina (Sofia Milos) will get herself in trouble, possibly abducted by the mob, and Horatio's got to get her out of whatever it is.  Apart from the orange-hued shots of guns being fired, there's Delko (Adam Rodriguez), who got a call from his dad in last week's episode.  He wants to help him, and Calleigh (Emily Procter) doesn't want that, and he does that anyway.  He'll get in trouble, all right, as it seems he'll find himself in the middle of the MDPD-mob crossfire.  Dramatic hints, perhaps.  Then again, what exactly is he doing there?

And the impact, they say, of tonight's events will be felt in the next season.  A cliffhanger?  After what they just did in CSI: NY, I won't be surprised.  The season finale of CSI: Miami--hey, it rhymes!--airs tonight from 10pm on CBS.  Photos?  As always, sirs.
