Watching CSI: Miami last week was a bit weird. There were a few details that felt a bit, well, shoehorned. So big Phoenicks fan gets close to the mom. Fan plots with mom to uncover the stand-in, never mind that the real deal actually wanted to quit, maybe because of frustration. Of course, they end up killing the poor girl. And what's up with the graphics? Same actress, two characters--and it looked so, well, shoehorned. Oh well. I guess living the pop star life is that complicated.

Tonight's episode seems a bit more straightforward, and by that I mean a bit more plausible. There's this guy who's found chopped in half, and the team gets confused about it. Truth be told, that's not unusual--I think you need a sharp-enough samurai, and the strength to take all the blood that'll come out of your victim. What else makes it unusual? Who killed the person?

Then again, that doesn't seem to be Horatio's biggest worry. That goes to Natalia, who's still got hearing problems after that explosion. That injury's going to catch up with her, and she's bringing Ryan along for a ride. Ahh, these two. They dealt with the explosion together, and they're dealing with the consequences now, too. Isn't it cute? I digress.
