I would like to applaud Los Angeles Laker and last week's
CSI: Miami guest star Pau Gasol for making me realize the negative effects of having some really serious head trauma. I mean, you get involved in an accident, you hit your head hard in the steering wheel, you help others, get asked a few questions, end up being interrogated by police and convince them of your innocence--and then die just like that? I've had a few head injuries in my childhood, none that serious of course, and it still scared me, the idea of your head being like roasted beef marrow. Splotchy, eeek.
And then there's the other lesson, which Pau didn't really give us: don't hide anything inside your car's hood. Sure, nobody will find it, but it will cause your steering fluid to leak and you will lose control of your car sooner or later. Then again, I always thought that if you keep a bag of vegetation inside your hood, it will eventually hit the fan and cause an explosion, Mythbusters-style. Pau wouldn't have anyone to save, but at least he wouldn't be boshed in the head.
His guest role took ten minutes, and I was disappointed and surprised at the same time. Oh well, he's back in the NBA anyway.
Tonight's
CSI: Miami sees the focus return to newcomer Jesse--to be exact, we're now fleshing out his backstory again. We're still not clear on what exactly caused him to leave Los Angeles and return to Miami. Tonight, it seems, we'll get that. As a murder the MDPD crime lab investigates boils down to deadly jellyfish being used as a murder weapon, a mysterious woman from his past returns--and it seems the storyline will go along the lines of "did you follow me to Miami to stalk me?"
In a dashing suit? Maybe, but I don't really know.
CSI: Miami returns tonight from 10pm on CBS. Something seems wrong with the slideshows, so you can just
