After last week's relatively serious
CSI: Miami episode--it's hard to say that with a straight face, oh, chuckle!--it's time to get back to the serious stuff, and perhaps one of the biggest episodes not just of the show, but of the entire franchise as well. Hello,
CSI Trilogy.
In case you haven't heard of this yet (which would be a surprise), the next week sees the LVPD's Ray Langston go across the country to investigate a crime. Sure, some may scoff at the idea of relative newcomer Laurence Fishburne doing a crossover with all three
CSI shows--from Miami tonight to New York in a couple of days and back to Las Vegas on Thursday--solely because there are other cast members who have been with the show longer, but I trust this week's episodes will be pretty good. Hey, it's Laurence Fishburne! He's done good stuff before joining the show.
The trilogy kicks off tonight on
CSI: Miami, when Horatio and the team discover a severed leg at the Everglades. Some twist leads him to call for Langston, and the two work together on the leg, when it's revealed that it belongs to a girl who went missing a week earlier--over at Las Vegas, which explains Langston's presence.
And it's quite a full house on tonight's episode: Delko will be around to help along, as well as the new coroner, Dr. Loman, and my new favorite guy, Walter. (And Jesse, too, although I'm letting him boil.)
Prison Break fans might also want to check tonight's episode out, as Amaury Nolasco takes on a quick guest turn tonight. And then there's the rest of the series--but we begin the trilogy with
CSI: Miami, tonight from 10pm on CBS.
