This episode could be your eye candy alert.
Last week, on the
CSI: Miami season premiere, we were warped back to 1997, and to the origins of the CSI team at MDPD--the day Delko left his job as a tow truck driver, the day Calleigh started talking about science, the day Tripp had hair, the day Natalia worked for the FBI, the day Ryan was still a young kid, and the day Horatio gained his pair of shades. Voila: the team is born.
Of course, that flashback came with a catch: Delko's found seriously injured in a swamp at the Everglades, apparently through a gunshot wound, apparently from Calleigh. Good news: he's awake. Bad news: it doesn't mean he isn't going.
This week,
CSI: Miami goes back to the present, and while Delko's imminent farewell may strike a bad chord with some fans, Eddie Cibrian's entry into the team might make up for a few things. Sure, we saw him in last week's mega-flashback, when Jesse Cardoza decided to pack up and move to Los Angeles. Now he's back to Miami, back where he is... well, not exactly. He's now part of the CSI team, and surely he won't be limited to spraying stuff on walls and prying them open to look for traces of blood. Science has been, thankfully, good to him.
His first day back in Miami won't go well, however: just when he settles in, a gunman enters MDPD headquarters and takes five people hostage, him included. While that includes Jesse's police instincts kicking in, helping an injured colleague by using his shirt as a bandage--I'm sorry for playing up that angle, but I mentioned eye candy earlier--it's nothing compared to what Horatio has to do.
Nah, he isn't going shirtless. I don't think the gunman would want that. But he's got to fulfill an odd request from the hostage taker. Perhaps we should also expect an exploration of sorts into Jesse's past?
CSI: Miami returns tonight from 10pm on CBS. If you haven't seen the photos, well, here it goes, again.
