When
CSI: Miami returns this coming fall, fans will finally find out who shot Horatio Caine. The show that follows the investigations of a team of Miami-Dade Police Department forensic scientists as they unveil the circumstances behind mysterious and unusual deaths and crimes committed has left viewers with quite a season finale, in which
David Caruso's character was shot and left for dead. While this alone is enough for viewers to stay tuned to season 7, Zap2it.com hints on another reason to look forward to the new season.

Zap2it.com reports that the CBS forensic drama will be introducing a new medical examiner who will join the Miami-Dade Police Department this fall. The newly hired forensic specialist answers to the name of Lauren Price, a young woman in her 20s to early 30s but is described as “wise beyond her years.”
Not much has been revealed about this new character on
CSI: Miami, aside from the fact that she'll be appearing in the second episode of the season 7 and that the producers of the series are still looking for an actress with a bit of ethnic spice to fill in the role.
Meanwhile, fans can catch reruns of
CSI: Miami on CBS. Next Monday at 10pm, the network will air the episode “Just Murdered” where the team investigates a nasty divorce that takes a turn for the worse when the husband's mistress turns up dead. As the body count increases, the soon-to-be ex-couple's relationship also becomes even more complicated. Guest starring in this episode is Patrick Cassidy, Kelly Carlson, and Johnny Pacar.
Aside from David Caruso,
CSI: Miami also stars
Adam Rodriguez as Eric Delko,
Emily Procter as Calleigh Duquesne,
Eva La Rue as Natalia Boa Vista,
Jonathan Togo as Ryan Wolfe,
Khandi Alexander as Alexx Woods, and
Rex Linn as Frank Tripp.
