The search for a missing Delko just got a much-needed boost. Actor Eddie Cibrian is joining the cast of
CSI: Miami, popping up in the crime drama's eighth season as a regular. He is set to play a police officer from Los Angeles who is moving to the Miami-Dade crime lab.
Cibrian held regular roles in the daytime soap
Sunset Beach and drama series
Third Watch,
Vanished and
Invasion. He also recently held recurring roles in
The Starter Wife,
Ugly Betty and
Samantha Who?, and is also set to star in a Hallmark Channel original movie,
Healing Hands. He snagged this role on the back of his lead role in a CBS pilot,
Washington Field.
In addition,
CSI: Miami's producers also confirmed that Adam Rodriguez, who plays the still-missing Eric Delko in the series--that, after the events of the cliffhanger season finale a couple of months ago--will be returning. No word, though, on the status of Megalyn Echikunwoke, who disappeared from the opening credits on the finale after her character hit the slammer.
