
Previously on
Criminal Minds, the BAU team raced against time as they tried to solve a case on reverse by embarking on a massive manhunt in order to find the latest victims of a self-confessed serial killer in the form of
Seinfeld's
Jason Alexander. This week's killer, on the other hand, has turned the art of picking up women into a means of preying on his next victims in the episode called “52 Pickup.”

In the ninth episode of the fourth season of
Criminal Minds, Agents Emily Prentiss and Jordan Todd are tasked to go undercover to profile a serial pick-up artist-turned-serial killer who goes to bars to seduce women. Having perfected his skills of persuasion to entice women into danger, he guts his victims and makes them clean up as they bleed out.

“52 Pickup” was written by Breen Frazier, who has worked on
Ghost Whisperer, Alias and
Roswell, and was directed by Bobby Roth, who is credited for
Prison Break, Raising the Bar, A Date with Darkness: The Trial and Capture of Andrew Luster, Lost, and the upcoming TV feature
Shattered.
